PFW Day 6: Nothing to Wear

Today was another pretty chill day (compared to the first 3 days of the week), but still incredibly productive and exciting. I also decided to wear a few of my own outfits instead of wearing head-to-toe designer pieces. As much as love my designer outfits, I wanted to show you guys that you can also have statement making outfits with what you already have in your closet. For instance, the first black and pink outfit I wore were all pieces I had in my closet and have worn for the past 2 years!

10AM: Sacai Show

I started the morning off with Sacai. I’ve always been a big fan of the line and it was great to finally attend their show. Sacai is known for their juxtaposition of unexpected fabrics and construction techniques, and this season was no different.

12PM: Lunch at L'avenue

I had a lunch meeting at the super delicious and gorgeous restaurant L’avenue after the Sacai show. I ordered the sea bass with rice and it was To. Die. For. Anytime I’m at a Parisian cafe or restaurant, I try to sit outside. People watching in Paris is the best!

2PM: Street Style

So today was one of those days I wasn’t sure what I was going to wear. I usually have my outfits planned the night before but today I had nothing planned at all! I also wanted to go a day not wearing designer pieces head-to-toe. Though there’s nothing wrong with that, I wanted to share with you guys that your outfit is not about what you can afford but about working and styling the pieces you already have. I wanted to keep it really simple so I paired my black leather trousers and my fitted black ribbed tee but my outfit felt like it was missing something. I threw on my pink slip dress and I loved how it looked! To top it off, I played around with the accessories and layered two chokers on top of each other and some statement earrings!

4PM: Sonia Rykeil Show

This was my first time attending a Sonia Rykeil show and it was probably one of my favorite shows to date. Designer Julie de Libran crafted a love note and paid tribute to Sonia Rykiel, who passed away this August, in letter sweaters that opened the show spelling out “Rykiel Forever.” It was extremely heartfelt and very touching. The finale was a huge celebration of confetti falling from the sky. The entire collection itself was gorgeous, colorful and incredibly moving.

5PM: Street Style

This was another last minute outfit I put together. Sometimes styling an outfit without thinking ends up being your best! I grabbed this simple leopard print dress and paired it with my burgundy leather jacket and boots. I added a little red silk scarf to give it that je ne sais quoi.

7 pm- Linda Farrow Event

I popped by the Linda Farrow event immediately after the show and bumped into a few friends! It’s always nice to end the day with friends and people you love.

9PM: Sacai Dinner

My last stop of the evening was a lovely dinner with Sacai. It was great to meet the creative director and get to put a face behind the brand. I’ve always been a fan but became an even bigger fan after tonight! Thanks for having me Sacai!

I had such a great day today, but tomorrow is a BIG BIG day and I can’t wait to share with you some exciting news! Stay tuned tomorrow at 3pm PST to read all about it!
