Fall Must-Have : Chokers

My personal style is pretty classic but sometimes you just have to indulge in a trend or two! Fall’s must-have accessory is a 90’s fashion statement: the choker. But these aren’t your average black ribbons. From dainty metal to leather and even some with a little sparkle, the best way to finish off your outfit this fall is a choker! While I love a good statement piece by itself, I’ve found that layering chokers is a great way to add an unexpected touch to any look.

Metal on Metal

These gorgeous chokers from Soko are a great example on how to layer a statement piece. While I love each of these on their own, layering gives them a whole new life! A lot of women stick to one metal- you’re either a gold lover or a die-hard silver fan. But I love mixing my metals and wearing the two together! It adds visual interest as well as dimension.

Add Some Sparkle

A little sparkle is never a bad thing, in my opinion. These silver chokers are from Dannijo and have the perfect amount of sparkle without wearing a giant diamond necklace around your neck. What I love about pairing these two together is that the bottom one will lay lower on your neck, while the top one can be as high or as low as you’d like, depending on where you clasp it. This layered look will be perfect come the holiday season!

Simple and Chic

These two chokers from La Havane New York are some of my newest obsessions. Layering these two together is great because you get the black and white as well as the gold and silver. My styling tip? Wear these with a low cut top really accentuate your neck and show off the necklace! Or if you’re wearing a backless top/dress, turn them around and let them stop the show!

Dainty and Delicate

You all know how much I love my dainty jewelry, so it’s no wonder I’ve been loving these from Are You Am I. They’re created by my dear friend Rumi Neely!

Put a Bow On It

There’s something to be said about a simple ribbon! But instead of tieing it behind your neck, display the bow. It’s a fun feminine touch and it compliments a chunky choker like this one from Samantha Wills perfectly. The heavy chain vs the more minimal ribbon is a great juxtaposition to add to any outfit.

Which combination is your favorite? Let me know below and be sure to check back in today at 3pm PST for my fashion week post where I’ll be announcing the winner of the giveaway!
