5 Easy Ways to Refresh Your Home for Fall

Fall is a favorite season for many. Whether it’s the warm, breathtaking colors, the delicious pumpkin, and cinnamon flavors, or the excitement for the holidays, it’s a season all about change and refreshing your look. Here are five easy ways to liven up your space for fall (without spending too much time or money!).

Cozy Up with a Throw

One way to get your home looking fall-ready is to add some warm, textural elements. A cozy throw is a go-to fall necessity for cuddling up in front of the fire with a good book or in front of the TV for a movie night with the kids. It’s also a great way to add some fall color (deep reds, oranges, greens) to your space without having to change out the furniture.

Add Some Plush Pillows

When you add a few nice and new decorative pillows, it can really feel like your space has a whole new look. Similar to the throws, pillows are a way to add in some fall colors, but you can also add texture and comfort by including pillows of different shapes, sizes, and materials. What’s the current pillow trend for this fall? Fur pillows.

Autumn by Candle Light

Fall brings with it cooler weather and shorter days. Once way to embrace the early nightfall is to buy beautiful candle holders or candle lanterns for a really organic lighting option that bring a sense of warmth to your space. Candles look great outdoors on the porch or lining a walkway, or bring them inside for a romantic and relaxing aesthetic.

Change Out Your Florals

If you’ve been keeping up with our articles, you’ll know that we always recommend florals in our tips for a way to really spruce up your space. For the fall, it’s time to change out all of the summer species for a seasonal palette of burnt orange, bronze, gold, and deep reds or purples. It’s always fun to add some white pumpkins or cute gourds to the mix as well. Mums, pansies, orange roses, eucalyptus are great fall options.

Layer Your Rugs

Layering rugs is an easy way to add color and texture to a space for fall, and the extra cushioning provides extra protection against the cold of wood or tile floors come winter. Read our blog to learn more about how to layer your rugs the right way.
