3 Looks to Get You Excited About Work

Building a work wardrobe can be fun (yay shopping!) but it can also be super overwhelming. Not to mention finding pieces that are cute and chic yet still office appropriate can be tough. So I put together three outfits that will get you excited for work! Each of these looks can be re-worked to fit your office environment, and they all start with the basics. A good blazer and a good button down.

Look One : The Trousers

A good pair of trousers is an absolute must. I love this pair from Banana Republic because the fabric is easy and breathable, plus the grid pattern is a fun change of pace from your typical black or white. The fit of these is great too. They’re slim enough to be flattering, but loose enough to not be suffocating. My styling tip? Cuff the hem once or twice to give a peg-leg silhouette! I paired them with a white short-sleeve button-down, my Derek Lam heels (similar here) and my Tods bag for a casual yet chic work look.

Look Two: The Blazer

The blazer, the perfect emblem of preppy. This one from Frame Denim is a more casual take on the classic piece and I’m all about it. Nothing looks sleeker than throwing on a blazer. It adds an instant polish no matter what you’re wearing! Though I love a good oversized blazer, a structured one is always a smarter option for the office. I styled mine over classic white button-down from Current Elliot and some high-waisted paper bag shorts. Naturally, I grabbed my Givenchy ‘Life Bag’ and a cup of coffee and I was good to go!

Look Three : The Color

Okay, here me out: navy is the new black. Trust me, nothing can replace my go-to black pieces but there’s definitely something to be said for the color navy. It’s classic, it’s polished and it’s a must for a complete office wardrobe. This blazer (similar here) and these shorts (similar here) are a set by Armani, and they got me really excited about shorts for the office. If you live in a warm climate, and your office dress code is okay with it, give a pair of Bermuda or boyfriend shorts a shot!

I hope these looks have inspired you and be sure to check out below for more of my office approved picks!
