Exploring Cannes

Floral

I’m obsessed with the details in this top. The colorful lace embroidery on this light sweater is to die for!

Although this a pair of simple white shorts, I love the cut because they almost look like a skirt!

I’ve never been to the south of France before but I’ve always wanted to go because I’ve heard it’s super rustic and quaint. It’s also next to the coast which brings a certain liveliness to the city. Between spending the most amazing time with Elie Saab and getting ready for the red carpet I was able to find some time to explore the city. I stayed at the Hotel Martinez, which was right in the hub of the Cannes Film Festival, but walking down a little bit further I was able to get away from all the noise and experience a bit more local flair.

Cannes is different from Paris in that the buildings seem more colorful, but there are still the same little cafes and boutiques lining the streets. There’s also a huge street just for shopping with all the major stores, so if you remember from my snapchat, that’s where I discovered the most amazing macaroon sorbet from Ladurée! This is the day that I shot with Getty Images but immediately after I had a shoot with Elie Saab. We ended up losing track of time strolling the streets of Cannes so that when I finally realized that my next shoot was in 10 minutes, I ended up sprinting through the streets! While that was definitely a crazy moment, these Elie Saab heels were surprisingly comfortable for the almost mile run back.

Even if I’m abroad, I find myself gravitating towards effortless white pieces. This set is quintessentially Elie Saab because of the delicate embroidered details. This sweater top was perfect for Cannes! It was airy yet sophisticated and the shorts had the perfect amount of flounce. I love the pop of red in the floral print and I paired it with matching red heels and of course my little red Fendi bag. Nothing screams ‘I’m on vacation’ more than carrying around a tiny red purse!

I can’t wait to spend a long weekend with Chloe and do some online sale shopping. Check out this cute bucket bag and sun hat that I found on the Nordstrom sale! They’re perfect summer staple pieces. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend, everyone!
