Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet 2016

10 AM : Breakfast

From pancakes to french toast and the yummiest of sweets, what better way to start out my big day in Cannes than with an all pink breakfast at the Hotel Martinez!

4:30 PM : Hair & Makeup

Thanks to the Franck Provost Paris beauty team for this amazing and flawless red carpet look! Getting my hair and makeup done before the red carpet is always my favorite part of any event!

6 PM : Ready for the Red Carpet

I loved how luminous my skin looked that day. Because my dress was so feminine I decided to go with a dark lip to add a bit of edge to the look.

7:30 PM : Red Carpet

Finally made it to the red carpet, it was crazy and hectic but I wouldn’t have had it any other way!

I can’t believe that just a few days ago I was in the south of France for the Cannes Film Festival 2016! It was a whirlwind trip and I’m so thankful to Elie Saab for giving me this amazing opportunity. It was such an incredible experience, from being able to visit the Elie Saab suite and seeing all of the beautiful gowns to learning about their newest rose perfume from Francis Kurkdjian the perfume master himself. I learned that the Elie Saab woman is feminine yet modern and there is always a texture beneath the surface. It was an honor being able to wear an Elie Saab gown on the red carpet/montee des marches. Surprise surprise, I immediately gravitated to this sheer white lace gown for my walk on the red carpet. Because it was so feminine and delicate I decided to put an edge to it by vamping it up with a dark lip, a slicked back up-do and a pair of unexpected statement hoop earrings. I couldn’t have been happier with this look because it embodies so much of my current style. I’m still very much the girly girl from when I first started the blog, just with a little bit more of an edge. I loved being able to add a little bit more mystery and sexiness to this beautiful white feminine gown.

The Cannes film festival was an incredible experience. We watched the French film La Fille Inconnue directed by JP et AL. Dardenne. The film, which translates to The Unknown Girl, is all about a doctor trying to uncover the identity of a patient who passed away after refusing treatment.

Somebody pinch me because I still can’t believe I was in the South of France attending the 2016 Cannes Film Festival! After following the festival for years, it was such a surreal experience to be in the midst of it all. From seeing celebrities and models in the hotel lobby to dinner on a private island to just being in the South of France, a year ago I wouldn’t have imagined being there! Though I’m back in LA, I can’t wait to share all of my amazing experiences with you all! Stay tuned and have a great Wednesday!
