Discussing my take on the pros and cons of the world of social media in this month’s Heart to Heart. Don’t get me wrong it’s an amazing tool that has allowed people around the world to connect faster and share amazing things. And frankly my job is based around social media. But with that said, knowing where the line between reality vs life on social media is important for living a balanced and happy life. Remember, connecting online doesn’t replace valuable face time with the people you love.
Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on social media & what other topics you’d like me to cover. If you guys missed my last Heart to Heart I shared my experience on what makes a relationship work aka #Relationshipgoals

Social media should never be compared to real life. I ALWAYS have to remind myself this on a daily basis. I love that I am seeing a lot of posts like this lately! This was just what I needed to hear. I applied this to my last vacation, and it was actually so much more enjoyable. You don’t realize how much you are missing out on. Loved this! You’re amazing. Also, love the hair!

Great video Chriselle! I think people should learn to realize that social media doesn’t represent a person entirely. We all want to showcase and highlight the ‘great’ parts more than the bad so it’s not surprising that everyone seems to be living the life in their social media profiles. It’s only a fraction of the entire individual.

Loved this inspirational video 🙂 I think a lot of people aren’t able to differentiate between reality and social media, but it’s important to recognize that the 2 are very different. Thank you for sharing such a great message through this video <3

I love how real you were about social media vs reality. I think it’s very easy to get caught up and think that other people’s lives are perfect, but it’s just a moment out of your day. I also love that you talked about balance because I definitely need to remember to put away my phone whenever I hang out with people.

So true about the reality check. Social media is such a small percentage of someone’s life but I hate when people disregard it as not being real. Like what? It’s just the highlights.
