Atelier Versace Spring 2016

A girl can only dream of attending Couture Fashion Week, not to mention her very first Versace show!
I just got back from Paris for couture week and I have no words to describe the emotions and excitement. We landed in Paris on a Sunday afternoon, and I’m not going to lie … I was pretty exhausted after the 12 hour flight. Especially since Chloe slept for a total of 40 minutes on the plane ride there! (That’s a totally different story I’ll share with you guys next week). But once I checked into our place and saw my Versace invitation along with my outfit options … I got my second wind of energy! I had about an hour to get ready, so we instantly went ahead and tried some of the outfits on. I was torn between these two looks, and loved them both so much! I ended up going with the purple shift dress with the incredible mesh cut out details because it was equally as sexy as it was comfortable!

Now can we talk about the incredible show for a minute? I mean hot damn! It was the sexiest and most womanly show I’ve ever seen. The collection started off with a number of sporty pieces with flashes of neon and lots of racer necklines (my favorite cut!). As the show progressed the gowns got more lengthy, dramatic, and flashy. Emphasis on the woman’s body and embracing curves is what Donatella is good at. If I had to describe the show in just two words, they would be Female Empowerment.
