Nude Monochrome

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great start to the New Year! Although the start of 2016 was officially last Friday, I feel as if today is when the foot hits the ground. The past few days have been nothing short of amazing as I checked out of reality and spent 110% of my time with Chloe, Allen & Mignon. We checked into a local resort and spent the whole holiday weekend spending some quality time together. From our family morning hikes to indulging in the best food to even getting some alone spa time… I wish it never ended! Anyway, I wanted to start off the new year with one of my favorite outfits I wore to close off last year at the gorgeous Avalon Beverly Hills for the CincTeam Holiday party! It was this all blush pink set that I got from ACNE.

No matter how many neutral colors I wear, I’ll always have a special spot in my heart for the color pink. It’s one of those colors that always seems to be reinventing itself. Recently, I’ve fallen head over heels for anything pale/blush pink- almost nude! So the other day when I walked into Acne the first thing I picked up was this outfit. I tried it on, and walked out with it with out a second thought. It was my Christmas present to myself! You all know how I love my monochrome outfits, so I decided to wear this nude monochromatic look to my holiday brunch with the team. What I’m realizing about my style is that it’s really about subtlety in the details. You can be wearing something with a simple silhouette, but it’s the little things that count!

For example, this top is a very basic crew neck long sleeve, but I just love how it drapes elegantly off the shoulder. It feels very effortless vs. having it fit super perfectly. I love how I can tuck it into my skirt like I did for brunch, or a pair of jeans for a casual look. The material in this skirt is great because it gives this girly silhouette a more sporty vibe. And ask any girl ever, pockets are everything! Everything about this outfit made me smile, even down to my first pair of Acne shoes! I have to say that I’m quite happy with how comfortable they are! I was running errands all day in them and I almost forgot I was wearing heels. Plus, the signature statement embossed metal hardware that Acne puts on all their shoes is such a cool touch. It turns a basic heel into a statement piece.. it’s all in the details!

And we have some exciting things happening this year, and can’t wait to slowly start revealing some of the things we have been working on! For now make sure to keep updated and sign up for The Chic List!
