Blue Statement Coat

The fuzzy detail in this coat made me feel like a character from Monsters Inc.! But no matter how it looks, surprisingly it worked when I put it on, not to mention it was super warm! Since it has been finally raining in LA, I thought it would be a great opportunity to wear this Rebecca Taylor coat that’s been sitting in my closet for ages! When it comes to coats, I love a good basic camel or white coat because they’re pieces you can wear over and over again. But there’s something to be said for having a strong statement coat that you can wear every so often to mix things up!

I paired it when these blue jeans & my Miu Miu flats. Going on the trajectory of monochromatic looks, it just makes your outfit look that much stronger & intentional. I’ve been wearing these Miu Miu flats quite often, but they’re just the best investment I’ve made this month. So of course I’m going to wear them as much as I can to make the purchase worth it! I love the shape of the flats because they add a more funky element to my outfit. The mod style of the big buckle and the wide heel make me think that Twiggy would have worn them! When wearing a long coat, it’s super important to wear tailored pants, or in my case jeans. Your outfit looks so much more put together when your jeans fit you perfectly, in a way that makes everything look like its tailored to your body. It can instantly make you look expensive and chic with out trying very hard.

I wore this while running to and from my meetings and then back home to take care of Chloe before her bedtime. Now that I’m back in the full swing of work, my outfits have to be easy and effortless. I’m so glad that it’s Friday! Wishing you all a great day and a great weekend!
