In a Field of White Flowers

Remember when I used to love wearing pink all the time and wearing very girly outfits? But as I’ve grown up & evolved in my style, I’ve gradually wore less and less pink. It wasn’t intentional, but I found myself staring to gravitate to a more neutral color palette or just simple monochrome looks.

While I was in Korea for my first Seoul Fashion Week, I was totally inspired by the young energy around me so I started to inject a bit more color into my wardrobe. For my last outfit for fashion week, I wore this cool sweater sent to me by a very famous actor by the name of Ah-In Yoo. I love that the sweater is a more masculine take on the feminine pink. I’ve definitely grown out of the feminine colors, but when it’s done in a cool masculine way, I’m all for it! Though it’s a very cotton candy pink, the structure and the graphic element of it give it an unexpected sporty vibe. I was definitely in a bubbly energetic mood when I walked around the city that day. It’s funny how different colors bring out different moods, right?

On our very last day in Korea we took the time to walk around the city a bit and we ended up the LED flower field. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to see it lit up at night, but during the day it was still stunning. From far away, they looked like real flowers! I love that Korea has an obvious blend of new and old. Which is similar to what I do with my personal style. I try something new, but stay within my classic elements! Happy Friday!
