Black Out in Korea

I like to consider myself a morning person, but there’s something about being in Korea where I prefer the nights! From all the city lights, even the rush of people! Korea just really comes alive at night! I found it interesting that a lot of the big shows (unlike the ones in NYC and Paris) at Korea Fashion Week were shown at night-time. I loved how going to shows in the evening really set the mood and tone of the collections. This show was one of my favorites because of where the show took place, and the ambiance of the runway.

Here I’m wearing a full Lucky Chouette outfit. I remember my friend Irene Kim telling me about this collection and how she thought I’d totally fall in love with it once I saw it. She was so right. It’s the perfect combination of a sophisticated edge with feminine details. Although most people don’t like wear a black and navy outfit, I love the color combo! They’re both neutrals and wearing them together give a subtle dimension to a seemingly monochromatic outfit. I loved being able to discover new brands, especially Korean brands because I’m a Korean American. Although Lucky Chouette is very popular in Korea, I hope one day I’ll see it more in the States!
