Glammed Out All Day & All Night

My last few days of New York Fashion Week were spent mainly with Ralph Lauren, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I love that the Ralph Lauren woman is versatile. She’s not only glamorous in the evenings, but throughout the day as well! When I had my fitting with Ralph Lauren at their flagship store in NY, I decided I wanted to go for a look that resembled that woman. Of course, the outfit I gravitated toward was the all-white look that they featured in their Fall/Winter 2015 campaign.

As you guys know, I have an affinity for effortless all-white outfits, so it’s only fitting that I ended my colorful NYFW with a simple and clean look that I’d wear outside of Fashion Week. There’s something about an all-white outfit that looks so polished and chic. If there’s one thing that’s consistent with Ralph Lauren’s collections, is whether it’s an evening gown or their day-wear, there’s always beautiful clean lines. When I was younger, I used to look for the boldest print, or the most stand-out color, but nowadays I look for a clean-lined silhouette that elongates. For the show, I added a pearl choker necklace to add a modern twist! Along with clean lines and sophisticated silhouettes, I love that Ralph Lauren is a brand that can be translated to different styles! For instance: My Korean Girl Squad (you might remember seeing them here too!)! Irene (IreneIsGood) is known for her youthful, creative and funky looks and Aimee (SongofStyle) is known for her California BoHo style, yet we can all mold Ralph Lauren’s pieces into our own style.

There’s a big debate in the fashion world on weather or not the streets are influenced by the runway, or runway influenced by the street. Honestly, I believe that more and more designers are looking to the streets to see what people would wear and getting inspired by the every day girl. But on that same note, I do believe that there are brands out there that not only take inspiration from the streets, but from their heritage and history as well, all while adding a new and modern twist! That’s why I love Ralph Lauren, not only do they have their finger on the pulse of the every day woman, but they keep true to their history.

So what do you guys think- is fashion dominated by the streets or the runways? Let me know in the comments below! Have a very happy Monday!
