I love this striped midi dress from Madewell because it looks like two separate pieces but it’s actually one piece. I’m always looking for unique one-pieces to wear as they’re my absolutely fav thing to wear. Two pieces are easy and you don’t have to worry about what top matches what bottom. It’s a whole look in itself!
I think a few years ago I might have been more inclined to show off as much skin as possible for summer, but now I’m really about tastefully showing off skin. I was drawn to this piece since it’s modest enough for me to wear out while still keeping cool. If you remember my 5 Dates in LA post yesterday, I also wore this dress out to Santa Monica Pier on a date night with Allen. This dress is sophisticated and unique enough to wear on a date but the denim material still keeps it casual. Some of you may shy away from midi dresses since they have a bad rap of cutting off the leg, but vertical stripes elongates the body, making you look taller! Another plus is that the linen material is super breathable which is perfect to wear by the beach.
Also this textured wall that I found with my team totally reminds me of Guatemala! I went there a few years ago with my BFF Sara and we fell in love with the beautiful city and how much history there was. It makes me so nostalgic to travel again .. Since it’s summer now I’m definitely in vacation mode and I’ve been currently obsessed with finding little staycation spots in LA!
