Navy Culottes & Red Strappy Sandals

Ok, besides the fact that I should’ve ironed my pants before I wore this outfit out, how amazingly simple is this look? (I didn’t realize how wrinkled my pants were until I left the house, and it wasn’t worth the drive back. Ok ok, in other words I was lazy…ha!) And my loyalty to monochrome outfits continue- chic, simple, and sophisticated. But instead of my typical all black or all white look, how about an all navy look? Something I’ve never done before. These are two basics that I bought separately, but they both happened to be by Theory. I bought these pieces individually thinking they would be a great addition to my minimalistic look that I’ve been channeling lately. Only if you could actually feel how soft this Theory linen top is. Although it looks like a thicker sweater material, it actually is 100% linen… extremely comfortable & breathable. ( You might remember this top from this post HERE).

I’ve always been a fan of minimalistic Italian suiting because of the tailored fit, and that is why I’m completely over the moon about these pants. (I promise, they look 100 times better when ironed!) These polished knee length shorts are just perfect to wear to work this Summer (and they are 40% off!) . It’s always challenging to find breezy & breathable work appropriate pieces to wear in the hotter months. Effortlessly cool, breezy, yet structured all in one. Absolutely perfect for taking LA meetings and running around in this heat! Going monochromatic is also second nature to me, as you guys know how much I love effortless one pieces. I like that this combination plays with the idea of a one piece while still maintaining the versatility of being great individual pieces. I also LOVE pairing navy with red, so I decided to break these new red stripy sandals in. I mean how could I not? These shoes are a walking piece of art! My secret to pulling off a pair of statement heels is keep the outfit extremely simple, so the shoes can really pop. Whether its with a pair of boyfriend jeans and a simple white T, or an all black , white, or navy outfit….let the shoes do the talking!

Happy Wednesday!
