My 7 Everyday Essentials

Is it just me or do you guys also have items where you just look back on and it reminds you of a certain time period in your life? I’m the type of girl that gets really obsessed with something and I use (or wear) the heck out of it. When I get obsessed about something I have it on constant rotation, and it becomes an everyday essential for me. Today I’m sharing with you guys 7 things that has become merely more than obsessions, but are now considered my everyday essentials.

1. Makeup

Here are some times that has become part of my daily makeup routine. Most notably the Glossier lip balm, Balm Dotcom,  which has no scent, and is absolutely the most hydrating & long lasting lip balm I’ve ever tried. I apply it every night before I sleep to get smooth lips the next morning, and it stays hydrated pretty much thru out the day. Not to mention it’s also a universal skin salve which means it will repair dry & irritated skin. I have REALLY REALLY chapped lips so this is pretty much a miracle in a tube for me.

Cle De Peau has always been one of my favorite beauty splurges. Not only are their products high quality and long lasting, but their packaging is always next level. I first discovered this powder many years ago when I was in Vegas, yes I said Vegas, and still ’til this day it’s my absolute favorite powder. Besides the HUGE powder puff that comes with it (reminds me of the 20s when women would powder their faces), I absolutely love the finish to this powder. I usually wear BB cream during the day, but this powder adds a beautiful natural finish to my everyday look. This power is so finely milled that it even sets my under eyes nicely without the “cakey” look. It’s extremely long lasting, and a little goes a long ways. I’ve struggled to get the perfect eyebrow for many years, and I discovered this Cle De Peau eyebrow pencil. I have a heavy hand, so these pencils are perfect for me since they are extremely light and natural in color. I promise you..this is the only brow pencil you will ever need!  If I want my complexion to look brightened and luminous, which is pretty much everyday, I’ll use the Cle de Peau Luminizing Face Enhancer. It’s extremely pigmented so one swoosh will last you thru out the entire day. I like to use it on my cheekbones as well as my decollate area.

And of course my Chanel powder blush that I’ve been using for years now. I’m a creature of habit, and if I like something I’ll stick to it. I’ve been not only using this blush for the past 5 years but also the same color- “Angelique”. Its the perfect color to look like your blushing naturally from within…you know, that whole no makeup makeup look.

2. Notebook & Instagram

As someone who works in the creative field, I strongly believe in constantly staying inspired. I have a notebook I carry around with me where I write down ideas, or to take notes during a meeting. If you’re the type like me to have to see things written out.. a notebook is a must! But more important I’m always on Instagram or Pinterest to look at photos that keeps me inspired!

3. SKll Face Masks

As most of you know that follow me on snapchat… I’m obsessed with face masks. I usually give myself a mask of some sort every single night.  I usually work on my blog in the evenings, so why not pamper my face while doing so? They’re not only a quick and easy way to make your face feel so rejuvenated and refreshed, but these masks can literally bring life back to your skin! I recently received these SK II facial treatment masks from my friends at Violet Grey. These masks have given my tired skin a surge of moisture immediately after one try, and I’ve been hooked ever side. I cannot tell you how big of a difference I’ve seen  in my skin since using these masks.

4. Tote & satchel bag

You might remember this tote from yesterday’s post. Usually i’ll carry two bags around with me during the day- a large tote and a small satchel. A large tote so I can fit my everyday essentials- laptop, makeup, and extra pair of shoes, my pump (yes, It’s big enough to fit my pump!).  Usually when I attend meetings or events I prefer not to carry a large tote with me, and that is why i’ve been using this small black MCM satchel almost everyday. I love how structured it is and the small fit makes it easy to carry around every day!

5. Flowers

Flowers are always just a must. They can be such a small detail, but can instantly liven up your workspace or home! I’ll always love my white roses, but this season I’m kind of obsessed with pink peonies. They’re so beautiful and delicate .. not to mention they smell amazing!

6. Shoes

I’m sure you guys have noticed but these white Miista lace ups & French Connection mules have been on heavy rotation these past few months.  I prefer the lace-ups for every day wear just because they’re so easily paired with most of my outfits and not to mention they’re just more comfortable to walk around in! But for heels I prefer a chunkier heel like these French Connection mules as they’re more comfortable and still chic!

7. Delicate Jewelry &  Sunglasses

Ever since i’ve had Chloe, I have become SUPER minimal with my jewelry. I’m the type of girl that used to wear a million rings and bracelets, but not so much anymore. I’ve always had an obsession with daily delicate gold pieces, but now more than ever since it’s way more “baby friendly” than wearing think chunky & heavy pieces. I literally have been wearing these 4 gold pieces everyday. This Jennie Kwon choker is probably my favorite piece as it makes the most delicate statement, and it matches every single outfit. And of course my Dior Sunglasses that i’ve worn almost everyday this past month. These sunglasses not only match everything, but can also make the simplest of outfits super trendy & cool

And there you have it.. my 7 everyday essentials that have been on major rotation for the past few months.  (Okay it was more like 20 things.. but does 7 categories count?) What are some things you can’t live without right now? Share with me in the comments!
