Blush On Rotation

Photography by Karen Rosalie

I’ve been all about the voluptuous A-line and uber feminine type of dresses, but as i’ve been progressively shedding my baby weight & “mommy tummy” i’ve started to wear more form fitting and body conscious pieces. It was really the day I discovered this knitted dress when I found the courage to try something on more “fitted” than my usual A-line or flowy silhouettes. And i’m glad I did because ever since then i’ve worn this piece 5 times! (Yes, I rotate clothes too, although I may not show it on Ingstagram! ha! ). As most of you know i’m a dress kind of gal, but never thought I would rely on them daily to get me in out and out of the house quickly. I absolutely love the knitted texture & slinky tunic underneath the dress. It’s breathable, airy, and extremely approachable to casual day dressing. Since the dress is fairly body hugging, I paired it with this loose fit denim jacket.  And a simple trick that i’ve been practicing for quite some time? Coordinate your accessories within the same color palette with the rest of your outfit. It will instantly make a simple outfit appear more stylized. For example: I paired my blush pink Theory Dress with a similar colored purse,  along with a nude/tan pair of sandals, and a light pink lip color to top it off! They don’t have to be the exact same colors, but all within the same family. A little trick that I highly recommend on you trying the next time you are pressed for time.

Have a great day everyone!
