Trends to Try // Gingham

This season I’m seeing a lot of Gingham on the runways. This is a bold and fun print, but it can easily be associated with my grandma’s gingham apron, kitchen curtains, or a picnic basket, but heres a more modern way to wear the print without looking like you accidentally walked out of your grandma’s house with her gingham apron on!  Here I show you how to wear three gingham pieces I styled in three different ways to give you an idea of how you could be rocking gingham this season.

1. Off-the shoulder Gingham

I love how romantic this piece is! The sweetheart off-shoulder cut makes me think of spring and laying out under the warm sun. Since the top was already so feminine, I paired Erika here with a leather pencil skirt and studded pumps to make the outfit look edgier. Paired with a red lip and this look makes gingham incredibly sexy!

2. The A-line skirt Gingham

This full gingham skirt is preppy and perfect for creating a strong and sophisticated look. Since the skirt is so bold, I toned it down by belting a white blazer over it. This immediately modernizes her outfit ! (You guys might remember this belting tip from here.)

Blazer: Daily Look | Top: ANDB | Skirt: Topshop (Similar option HERE) | Shoes: BCBG | Belt: Daily Look

3.  The Button-up crop Gingham

To give this casual top an edgy feel, I paired Erika with a tuxedo pant and silver pumps. I absolutely love how edgy, sleek and almost sporty this look is. It’s perfect for this upcoming spring!

Which gingham piece will you guys be rocking this Spring?
