Happy Lunar New Year!
Honestly I never thought 2015 would be the year where I would have a baby at home. Maybe 2016 or 2017. I thought 2015 would be more traveling, going to fashion week, and just spending time with Allen & Mignon. And as silly as it sounds, even after I got pregnant I didn’t know that a baby would change my life so much. I seriously thought after having Chloe, I would be able to go back to work after a month, or just bring her with me. But it’s safe to say that my life will never be the same again! And I’m so happy to say that it’s definitely going to be for the better.
I wore this Preen sheer textured dress from FWRD when I attended the Costume Designer Guild Award two nights ago. It’s been such a struggle finding a dress that fits (still!), but I absolutely love the cut & texture of this dress. When it comes to long dress I definitely favor light weighted dress that flows and has a soft and feminine texture to it. It feels very elegant and expensive, and award show or not, this dress is also perfect to wear casually on a warm spring day with a pair of sandals.
And you guys may have noticed my new blog layout!!! I’m excited to announce that this year will be the year where this blog is going to grow even more. This blog documents my journey and I love that it’s evolving with me as I grow also. In case you guys haven’t noticed yet.. for the past few months I’ve been featuring more lifestyle content like food and dedicated fashion tips. Because beyond being a fashion blog, I really want this blog to be a source for my readers for great fashion & beauty tips.. and the occasional health & food tip too! (Don’t forget to check out my youtube for styling tips.) Please use the categories on the menu bar to help you access these articles easier! As the site is continuously evolving, I would love to hear your thoughts on this new layout, and if there is anything else you would like to see on here.
I hope this blog can inspire women all around the world to be confident and believe in their beauty. And in case I don’t say it enough .. thank you all for reading my blog! I look forward to creating more amazing content for you guys this year! ❤❤❤

A belated Happy New Lunar Year! The gold background wall is amazing! Actually nearly all the backgrounds you use add another dimension and accent to your shoots which I love.. Wishing you and your family a happy year ahead!

Don’t think FOB like you celebrate Chinese New Year at all. You’re an illegal immigrant in Hong Kong like all the Vietnamese not Korean. You never had a gorgeous mother-in-law who taught you Chinese like you claim. Who you call mother-in-law never had a fugly loser called Allen Chen as son either.
Wow, such a stunning look. The color is perfect for New Year’s! And OMG, how is it that you don’t look like you had a baby at all (no weight gain, no bags under your eyes…)? I looked like a hot mess for at least 6-8 months following my daughter’s birth! ;P
The purse is superb, so Dainty and Chic!

Bonjour Chriselle!
I have been following you for about a year now and must admit never posted a comment. I’m french and live in France (not a scoop! but i did live for 2 years in australia!) and love reading your blog because of the atmosphere in it, your beautiful pics, the positiveness in your posts, the way you include your own life in it and also because it brings a little bit of the L.A. sun, climate and way of life in my day! When i discover your blog i wondered if it was your real name chriselle because so close to mine (i have a “t”!) and i thought it was kind of cool and make me smile!
Anyway, love the dress, you look amazing in it.
Have a beautiful day! <3

The first thing I thought when I saw these photos was CHRISELLE IS BACK! I am happy that you are enjoying your little daughter (I saw the previous post, she is sooo cute! ), but I missed this kind of content so much, I kept going to your older posts! I love the site. It looks great. I have no ideas yet, but I’ll make sure to drop them in the comments now and then. ^^
I really like the layout. It’s professional and classy, very very well done!

Hey Chriselle! This new blog is so much easier to navigate! I’m so excited to see more added. I also live in LA (and have a blog) and it would be super cool to see some of the places where you like to dine and hang out. Who knows, maybe we’ll run into each other some day!
Love,

Please be kind to your self .you had a baby of course you are not going to ‘bounce back’ to you’re former weight straight away. Please don’t get caught up on numbers and being “thin” again. You live in a very superficial country that favours and pushes woman to be thin post preg straight away and it’s not mentally healthy. Focus on Chloe and hubby and just Let your self enjoy this time without worrying about you”re weight. You do realise you are still a size 8 ish probably and the town you live in May or may not have a lot of shops that support slightly bigger sizes. Especially the high end fashion ones. So please be kind to yourself and take it easy. This is a massive changing time in you’re life, take it easy and don’t rush anything.
The new blog design is beeeaaaauuuuuttttiiifffulll Chriselle. i love it.
And yes, orange definitely suits you very well especially when paired with gold.
Oh, I’m so looking forward to what you have in store and when you begin to recognise some of us your readers and followers all the way in Africa.
Cheers,

Yes, yes yes to this dress! The orange looks great and compliments your skin tone. Although you said its an adjustment finding dresses to fit your post baby body, your body bounced back pretty great after having a baby. Your blog has been a source of inspiration for me. I discovered you first through your YouTube channel and your effortless styling videos inspired me to want to be a stylist and actually see it as a real career. Any who keep up the great work because your are inspiring others to chase after their dreams.
1) looking forward to new content for the categories
2) love, love, love the dress on how it flows, how loose fitting it is to the color, it’s perfect!
3) LOVE your blog!
