Photography by the Hubs
Looking over these images makes me wish I could be at the Maldives all over again! (Even though it took us 32 hours to get there..) This was one of the first villas Allen and I had went to and it had direct access to the beach. It was so crazy being able to just access the beach within a short walking distance, it honestly felt a little bit surreal. Especially waking up every day in this gorgeous backyard patio!
As I had mentioned before, when we got to the Maldives it was pouring rain and these were actually taken on the first day that the sun came out. The rain was unexpected but it gave me more time to spend with Allen with really no distractions. In a strange way, I was glad the rain was relentless for four days straight because as long as it rained, it meant Allen’s photography skills were postponed for another day. It’s a struggle creating content for you guys while I’m on vacation because that means, much to Allen’s chagrin, that he is my designated photographer. Just like the rain, these shots were unexpected, but I’m so proud of Allen for shooting these! If I’ve learned anything from the pregnancy it’s that life may throw surprises your way when you least expect it, but it’s important to remain optimistic because you never know how things will turn out in the end!
