Dashingly Dapper

Photography by Jana Williams

Jetlag has gotten to the best of me. Due to my excitement upon arrival, the first 5 days was fairly easy to adjust into the Parisian lifestyle. As today marks my 9th day here in Paris, i’m struggling a bit with the timezone. Or possibly i’m just a bit homesick , and missing my boys back at home (the hubs and my 2 puppies). I feel very fortunate that I get to travel the world doing what I love to do, but there are times I wish I could share these wonderful moments with my little family.

Anyways these photos were taken back in New York during fashion week after the Tommy Hilfiger show. This outfit was one of those looks that caused a bit of a stir , once again, on Instagram HERE. As most of you know my natural aesthetic is entirely feminine & sophisticated with a bit of edge, but when I saw this outfit on Tommy’s runway  last season I remember being moved by how bold and strong this look was.  Besides walking around in a matching houndstooth suit and a  boxy oversized jacket was quite empowering! In my opinion fashion week to me is a time to try out new trends, take risks, and to make a statement.

I have  3.5 more days here in Paris before heading back to LA, and there’s still lots to see and do. Happy Monday loves, and don’t forget to dream big and take risks this week!

  • Vanessa says:

Very sharp and clean. A la garçon done right!

  • Hazel says:

Love the men inspired look on you. Btw… It was cool seeing you at Jen Kao’s aftershow party during the fashion week last season.

  • Naaj Rona says:

I don’t understand what the fuss or stir is all about to be honest. You look stunning in this outfit and there is nothing wrong or weird about your hair and you definitely do not look funny.

The suit is just gorgeous and you did absolute justice to the outfit. Fashion Week is all about being bold and taking risks. It may not work something (but on this occasion it did) but that is part of it.

People are just jealous that you are enjoying your Life and having the best time. It is all down to handwork and sacrifices that you make and not everybody understands that Chriselle.

they only see the outfits, the smile, the catwalk shows and the parties that you attend but they don’t see the sacrifices that you make or the hard work that you put to build Chriselle Inc or the tears that you shed when things go wrong.

Your loved ones and your true fans love and will support you always. Loads go love xx

  • Monica says:

    Hey Chriselle!

I’ve been a big fan of you since you first appeared in one of Michelle Phans videos! I love your blog and your style! I follow you over bloglovin but unfortunately if I look in my bloglovin app over my iPhone I can never see your pics (instead of photos there is header_warning written). I would love if your team could try to fix this.

    A M A Z I N G ♡ loved this look, in love with the jacket :)

  • Dilek says:

Okay…people on instagram are weird. Somewhere between declaring that your hair looks weird and comparing it to G-Dragon’s hairstyle (in Turkish), they went blind to the awesomeness of this suit. I would wear this outfit any day! That jacket – I just want to reach out and grab it for myself. And I don’t get it: what exactly is wrong with your hair? To me it looks great. ^^ <3
