The Slip Dress

Photography by Timmy Ngo

When you think of a slip dress the first thing that may come to mind is a piece which you would probably never step foot in outside your house. But more recently I’ve been seeing slip dresses making a come back in fashion outside of the bedroom. And it has become one of my favorite trends as of late. In the 90’s it was a trend that was worn by the likes of Kate Moss during her Johnny Depp days. She really pushed the envelope in this number and shocked a lot of people wearing something so intimate and sexy with next to nothing on over or underneath. Although the slip dress can be tied to being something very sultry, I think this piece can be worn very tastefully when done right. In my latest video I share with you the 4 ways that I like to wear this slinky number without feeling overly exposed and more chic.

I find the slip to be very versatile and can be worn more ways than in the obvious as a dress. Making it a more flirty and feminine addition to your outfit. I wanted to share some of my behind the scenes photos taken during the filming of my most recent video “How To Wear a Slip Dress.” If you haven’t watched it already make sure to check out all of the amazing outfits you can create with this slinky number.

ANOTHER video I needed in my life! ^_^ I love your video’s on how to wear certain pieces. The way you pair them isn’t what I would have originally chosen, but it opens up my eyes & mind up to a whole new horizon of possibilities.

  • Dilek says:

I think you styled everything perfectly and kept it away from looking bizarre (which is how I view this trend of wearing a slip dress – as bizarre). I especially like it when you used the slip dress as a top under the oversized blazer.

P.S. I just read that you and Aimee got into an accident while going to a show. I am so happy that both of you are okay! <3

    • Chriselle says:

Dilek, Yes this can easily go wrong styled the wrong way! But I’m glad you liked the outfits I put together!

And it’s so sweet of you to say to check on me! Yes we are okay! thanks!

  • It looks great on you, Chriselle! :) Loving the lace!

  • So sexy Chriselle! Absolutely loving this trend, but I don’t think I could pull it off as beautiful l as you do. <3

  • I don’t even know how many lacey and silky slip dresses I’ve gotten these few months, the relaxed fitting is sexy and pairing it under an oversized sweater is my fave. The slip dress trend is definitely trending so much right now and it’s pretty sassy 😉 xo

  • The cat is very cute! Nice pics. You’re beautiful.
    Xoxo, Kera.

  • TERESA says:
