Less Is More

As the saying goes, less is more. Especially when it comes to basics. Having pieces in your closet that can be worn for many different occasions as the base of your outfit is the essential of building a great wardrobe. This grey dress is a great example of one. I can easily wear this on it’s own in L.A. but I can pack it for a trip to New York and use it as the base layer to my outfit there.

Speaking of New York, I landed safely here the other day, but it took way longer than expected. Thankfully I was traveling with my awesome friend Jana. All that time spent in the airport, we were able to catch up about what’s going on in our lives. And  we even enjoyed 2 meals (yes thats how long it took)  as we waited for our flight to finally arrive. I’m so glad we had each other to pass the time away.

Yesterday, was the first day of fashion week and I kicked off the week seeing some amazing shows! If you want to join me at the shows, make sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter to see all the action of NYFW from my perspective. I’m excited to continue the fashion fun today and the rest of the week.

Honestly, fashion blogging makes every blogger seem like they dress up every single day, but I like how normal and accessible your outfit is. It shows that you have a more casual and personal side to you that not a lot of bloggers share.

Where’s the cafe btw? It pass by that cool architectural building a lot, but didn’t know there was a cafe across from it.

Your outfit is cute, but what really vows me is the place. What an amazing view.

  • Simple pieces like this one aren’t as fun or va-va-voom. BUT they are the most loved and worn pieces usually right?? They are the bread and butter to any wardrobe!
