And the first thing I did when I got back from NY? Throw on a short skirt (without tights that is), a bold silky tank, and just in case it got a little chilly… a sleeveless vest. I go through phases of wanting to move to the east coast, but the New York Winters are always a harsh reminder that i’m a true cali girl at heart. From my last NY post HERE, I wasn’t sure if I was able to fly back out to LA  due to the snowstorm, but luckily (after patiently waiting for 8 hours at JFK) I was able to beat the storm! I am currently taking full advantage of this gorgeous LA weather as i’m leaving this Saturday to Paris! (Although i’m sure, rain or shine, I will madly fall in love with Paris.)

Speaking of Paris let me know if you guy have any recommendations on where I should visit, eat, shop, etc. Although i’m heading there for fashion week, i’m going a few days early to explore the city before the  madness starts!

Thanks for reading, and I hope you guys have an amazing day!

    Hi Chriselle,

So I must say first that your outfit in this blog is GORGEOUS!!! Loving all the colors & the ensemble is perfection!

And as far as Paris… My, was this hard to narrow down; but I would like to recommend 5 places as a must see:

    1) Notre-Dame Cathedral (esp @ night)
    2) Musee d’Orsay
    3) Jardin des tuileries
    4) Eiffel tower
    5) Monmartre (which is a hill just north of Paris); this is where the beautiful Basilica of the Sacré Cœur is located – FANTASTIC view and place to visit and really see a more quaint, artists view of the city.

Enjoy and truly am looking forward to seeing many, many pictures of your trip to Paris! I’m sure will not be your last <3

  • betty says:

Oh I forgot, if you want see a very beautiful historical french building ; go to the Opera Garnier !!! AND don’t forget your Nikon, because you will have a very very beautiful pictures inside…

  • Betty says:

I Chriselle, for begining I am sorry for my very bad English. .. I am a parisian girl who used to read your blog… So I can tell you some great tops on Paris… In first time ; the winter is not very hard this year, there is not snow and we have 10°C (for French people it’s like autumn), but sole day we have a beautiful sun and one hour before it’s raining very hard… so don’t forget umbrella. . Or take one with the eiffel tower printed lol (if you can’t play in vacancy in Paris,, where can you ???)… For places, sure you can do that aaaaallllll tourists do : Effeil tower (sorry but for the picnic, wait April !!!), for seeing Paris from the air, you will stand 2hours for having the tickets etc… The Sacré Coeur is free and you have a beautiful “vue” of Paris, and you can walk to the “place du tertre” drawers place (but in winter, there is ship in number of painter)… If you want a cool view of historical building, you take “bateaux mouche” not this company specificly (it’s expensive with them)… because probably it will be cold, and during the week, not very far of Tuileries’s garden you have one of the best chocolate : Angelina ! There is some people but/because it’s very good… If you have time, lost your road on the 5eme arrondissement, student’s streets, olders streets, olders cinemas. .. If you need beauty’s products, go to the parapharmacie”rue du four”, it’s the shipper pharmacie, and it’s in one of the richest area (WTF ?)… and take a café at 200 metres (St Germain des Près, le Flora) in the famous writers used to speak etc… it’s expensive but you will can say “I do it !”… For a night time, do the party on Bastille, rue de la Roquette. .. There is so many place to go, les Buttes Chaumont, le canal Saint Martin, la goutte d’or… There is sooooo many place to see in Paris, if you have a guide, Say him what is your mood in this time, this minute, there is always a place… places !!!!

  • Maggie says:

I love the tank top paired with that skirt! I can never stand the cold. The first time I went to the East Coast was for an interview with Yale and thought I was going to turn into a popsicle. I dressed so badly because I was so cold. Haha. Anyway, hope you have a fantastic time in Paris!

  • Gigi says:

I really like your tank w/ the orange touch on it! Great pics!

As I live not far from Paris, I can give you some suggestions. You should walk in the Jardin du Luxembourg, it’s a great spot to make some photos and chill out. Make sure to go to Rue Mouffetard if you’ve got enough time it’s a famous street. You could also go to the Marais, an area in Paris, where there are lots of vintage store, visit the Arenes de Lutece etc.
Just walk in the streets and you’ll find lots of things to see, places to eat.
The weather is quite good here. It’s supposed to be the winter but it’s more like an autumn weather (48º F or so), and humid.
Enjoy the fashion week and have a good time overhere!
(and be careful with your belongs)

    Bon voyage!

I can’t wait for your posts from Paris. It truly is such a beautiful and romantic city. If you can, visit the Picasso and Rodin museums, both set in villas, and Sainte-Chapelle, a gem of a church on the Ile de la Cite. Enjoy!

  • 33 says:

Amazing blue shades! I can see these glasses paired wonderfully with muted color ensembles.

last time I was in NYC was also a cold snowy/rany weather (colder still after the snow stopped). I was an eskimo, wearing all I brought (underestimated how cold it could be). I saw college girls out at night wearing tights, ankle boots (no socks), mini skirt, a jumper and a thin (relatively speaking) jacket. I saw old ladies in upper west side wearing full length (from neck to the floor) mink coat with a fur hat and a fur snood.

When I was in my 20’s I never remember being cold to the bone whenever I was in Tahoe or Mammonth. Now that I am getting into the old lady stage, I get cold easily. The skin gets thinner with age and less able to fight coldness.

  • sasa says:

Love the pictures. The blue backdrop goes so well with the shades. Awesome<3

  • Hey Chriselle,
