Chic Sheet- Red Hues

red cover

Have you every thought of the power of color? In particular the color red? This color holds so much meaning to it wether it’s on your lips as lipstick, the letters on a sign, or the color of a flashing light, or in the shape of a heart. When I think of the color red I think of strength, passion, power and love. There are so many other things that come to mind when we see this color and it’s one I’ve been loving to wear recently.

For some, a bold red lip is already pushing the envelop with this intense color. But as I mentioned in my previous post HERE , I like to take risks and make statements. And that goes the same with red. So I wanted to show you how you can pull off a daring red outfit 3 different ways.

You can stop traffic and wear a full monochromatic red look for a statement making outfit like this first example.Or you can take a romantic twist on it and mix shades of vibrant and deep reds for a sultry ensemble. You can take an alternative route and use a vibrant primary color such as blue and pair it with red for an exciting and eye catching outfit. I put together 3 chic sheets with these examples for an easy reference on how to pull off this striking color.

  • The colour red will always be as chic & classic as black & white.

  • love that monochrome in bold colors is back! I absolutely love red, but always was intimidated with an all red outfit (I have the pieces to put together an outfit). I wear complete black outfits often and I really think it’s chic and makes you look put together. And great tips, Chriselle. I’m only a recent follower, but your blog has become my spot for tips and ideas. xx

I agree bold is back! And don’t be afraid to rock an entire red outfit, it is just as flattering as black but with a little more pop!! I hope you try it out soon!! thanks for following my posts!

  • I like this tips. I hope I’ll have courage to go all-red someday. I also dream of all-pink, but it is even more hard to pull off and not look like a Barbie addict))
