Thru out high school I was immensely concentrated, and studied consistently hard to only obtain “average” grades. It was my senior year when I found out that I didn’t get accepted to my first, second, or even my last choice of school. My world was utterly shattered, and I was completely ashamed, defeated, and depressed. In the course of my recovery I overheard a classmate conversing about a city not too far south (from the bay) called “The City Of Dreams”… better known as Los Angeles.
Fast forward several years, stomping the grounds of L.A in confidence, I can assuredly say that I am now living my dreams. I moved to L.A, with big dreams, in hopes that one day the city would live up to its’ name. There was no guarantee that I would prevail & prosper, but the only thing I had control over were my thoughts & actions. I remained positive, never gave up, and took every “opportunity” that arrived my way. (Oh, only if you knew some of the amusing & priceless jobs i’ve had in the past. Maybe we’ll save those stories for another time.)
Once a fantasy, but now a reality. Regardless of your current state in life , I hope you were able to find some encouragement thru my story. Have a wonderful day!
P.S Got sidetracked and forgot to talk about my outfit! Going off of yesterdays’ Windowpane post, I’ve become immensely obsessed with mixing linear lines together. In my case an oversized striped button up paired with a checked coat, and of course my new pinstriped Stella McCartney Falabella purse.
