Chriselle Inc., Editorials, Fashion, My Styling Work

There are times when I hit a creative road block, and that usually happens when I “plan” to be creative. Whether it be in production meetings with my team while concepting a new series for the channel, storyboarding for a client, or simply getting inspired. It was after this unexpected shoot that brought me to a conclusion that creativity is found in the act of “doing”. Ray Bradbury once said,

“Don’t think. Thinking is the enemy of creativity. It’s self-conscious, and anything self-conscious is lousy. You can’t try to do things. You simply must do things”

It was after  midnight when Karla and I wrapped our shoot for for a client HERE, we were exhausted but exhilarated by the final outcome. Forthcoming dreams, ambitions, and conversations of creative concepts started to unfold. We somehow got into a conversation of the film “Young And Dangerous”,  a Hong Kong film (series) based on a group of childhood friends that grew up together, one of Allen’s all time favorites.  Next thing you know we were in a car en route to CHINATOWN. I have yet to visit China, but i’ve been completely inspired by their culture, rich colors, and bright lights. Hoping and wishing that one day i’ll be able to visit China!
