Blogger Bazaar Babes

I get a text from Aimee 3 days before the event , “What are you doing Saturday? Want to do a Flee Market?” I immediately assumed she wanted to head to the Pasadena flee market to get some shopping done for the house (she’s in the middle of designing my place.). I texted her back “Of course!”, and she replied “OK, make sure to clean out your closet, and bring all your goodies.” Question marks were racing my head, it was then I realized she wanted to throw a last minute event with all of our close LA  blogger friends.

It was our first Blogger’s Bazaar event, and granted we had 3 days to plan for it…we were overwhelmed with the turn out. It’s amazing what you can pull off with an amazing team- Aimee, Jules, Wendy, Shea, Liz, & Natalie. We immediately went to work and contacted everyone that we knew to help us out. It’s really rare to find a group of girls that can work well together, but most of all support each other…  and I feel so blessed to be a part of  a group of strong, positive & uplifting women!

I was running a little behind as I was coming from a birthday party, and as soon as I arrived there was a line wrapped around the block, and so many people inside shopping already!

At our booth we had everything from jewelry, purses, shoes and of course clothes to shop from!

I feel so blessed that I had the chance to meet all my chic followers that were able to join us for the event! A lot of the time I’m curious of who is on the other end of the tweets, Instagram photos and Facebook comments I receive &  it was so nice to finally see you all in person! I just felt so connected with everyone I spoke with… it was like I was meeting my long lost sisters & friends. So many people drove for hours to attend the event. A few from San Diego, San Francisco, even a few from out of state, and even Canada for the event! I was overwhelmed with happiness to be a part of it all and it was a completely humbling experience for me.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without my Chriselle Inc. team! Especially to Laura, our Project Manager (pictured above), manning our booth, Stacey who was handling the camera , and Hien who was helping out with everything in between.

On top of shopping, can we talk about the food & drinks for a second? Big thanks to Guelaguetza for filling up our bellies with the most bomb Oaxacan food! If you guys are ever in the downtown LA area..you MUST check out their restaurant! Also a special thanks to NCLA nails hooking up our girls with the funkiest NailSwag, Pabst Blue Ribbon for hookin our thirsty shoppers up with their refreshing drinks, and of course Westin Mitchell Group for allowing us to use their gorgeous interiors & space !

I just wanted to take the time to thank all of you that took time out of your day to come out and support this event and to those of you who came up and said hello to me. Everyone I spoke to had such sweet and inspirational words to say and I am so thankful for all of your love and support.

On top of all of the fun we had at the event, eating, dancing and shopping, the greatest part of it was that. thanks to all of you, we were able to raise money to help women all over the world. We wanted to let you know that 50% of the proceeds that we made that day will be going to the Dress for Success charity. Dress for Success’ mission is to “promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Thank you again for joining us at the event, shopping my closet and most of all for helping raise money for such a great cause!
