The Wedding- Reception

After the ceremony our guests got to explore the beautiful estate of greystone mansion while enjoying hors d’oeuvres catered by Wolfgang Puck. Allen & I decided to stay behind to share a few quiet moments together, and it was those 10 minutes that we now hold closest to our hearts. We were both gleaming of joy coming out of a heartfelt and unexpectedly tear jerking ceremony. If I could give any advice to all the brides to be out there- set aside some alone time for the two of you, whether it be before or after the ceremony! Even if its only for 5 minutes…its worth it!

Look familiar? Do you guys remember the DIY golden books that we made HERE on our channel for the wedding series??

When planning for the wedding there was one thing I was certain of- that the ceremony & reception would both be outdoors. As a little girl I’ve always envisioned an outdoor parisian inspired garden party wedding! And so we did…. despite the heat the ambience was beyond perfect!
As for the flowers we decided to keep them soft & muted in color, but wild in form. Do you guys remember the episode when we were deciding upon the flowers HERE? seems just like yesterday when we were in the midst of the planning madness!

Our wedding party made a pretty epic entrance by performing the choreographed dance of “Gangnam Style”! (If you guys have no idea what that is you must watch this video HERE!) As we entered the courtyard as husband & wife, we were both so overwhelmed with joy & excitement!

All eyes were on us, but we were still so giddy that we ended up just laughing & smiling for the duration of our first dance.

By now you guys know my absurd obsession with gold accents along with macarons, therefore we decided to incorporate both! Just in case the luxe desert table was not enough for our guests.. each individual table had their very own batch of freshly made macarons!
Do you guys recall THIS blog post HERE? Where I asked you to help me pick out my tableware for the wedding??? Well majority of you voted for “The Classic Statement”, and I cant’ get over how beautiful it looked…so THANK YOU!

It was when my dad gave his speech I completely lost it all over again. As we stepped into our Father/Daughter dance, I let him lead the way and guide me, as he had always guided me thru my entire life.

As I live for my sweets & desserts, we decided to spoil our guests (specifically the ladies) with 3 different type of cakes, cakepops, macarons, and cupcakes. Thanks to Cakes By Rumy for going over & beyond with the desert table!

As the air got a little dusky and the light became a bit more golden, we knew it was time to wistfully bid our guests goodbye.
This now wraps up everything left of our wedding. I want to take the time to thank YOU for being an immense part of our journey. From all the comments, encouragement, suggestions, and ideas..thank you for being a part of our love story.
Just in case you missed the last 4 wedding posts-The Morning Of, Our First Look , The Ceremony , and our Wedding invitation
and of course our Wedding Series!
