I think something between the second one and the third would look lovely on you. The second one I think personally the bottom is too puffy, but I love the elegance of the third one. I loved the designers idea, combining the two.

The first dress definitely seems to give you shape and it hugs your midsection nicely :) ! Good luck with your wedding!

Def the third. :) You’re slim and tall, so it looks incredibly streamlined and elegant on you. However, I would agree that the sleeves on the ballgown would look even lovelier paired with the silhouette of the third.

I looove the first two, but I think the silhouette to pick should be decided by the location of your wedding. that way the dress doesn’t overwhelm the venue or look too dressed down.

Neckline & shape of the 1st, back and material of the 2nd. The 1st material looks kind of like white moldy bacteria…

1st one. It compliments your slender body and still had the “wedding dress” feel. Second one makes you look wider in the waist but its a pretty dress . I don’t think it compliments you. Third one is alright but I don’t see it as a wedding dress. I do love it though cause it has a 20s vibe.

All three looked great on u of course they dont all fit perfect since they are samples but since its custom it will be perfect! i dont suggest u mix Tulle with Chiffon honestly as a bridal designer i dont think that looks all that great. I do love the chiffon idea its so light an breezy and yes the top of the second one with the asymetrical “sleeves” would look amazing in a chantilly lace :D defintetly go for the bridal-ness of things meaning all out bling or something to accent the materials nicely :D looking forward to the next vid :D

I loved all of them! But I will say that I could definitely see you getting married in the third one. I feel like the second one wasn’t quite a wedding dress, I don’t know why. But I love the idea of mixing the second and the third dresses! You would look stunning in a combination of the two!

    Dress no 3!

  29. Posted August 1, 2012 at 11:04 PM | Permalink

I think combining the style of the second dress with the material and fabric of the third dress would look amazing. The third dress on its own looks lovely but i think it looks like an evening dress not a wedding dress. I think a fuller skirt would seem more appropriate for a wedding. And adding lace and embellishments would tie it up all together with the romantic theme! I can even imagine what you would look like- gorgeous! can’t wait to see what your final decision is! :) xxx

The 1st one has a perfect fit, great silhouette and texture. It also show ur nice bust and waist. I love the bottom but not a fan of a textural top. hwv, they look good together.

The 2nd remind me to Karlie in Dior couture SS12 :P but it quite over dramatic. It maybe a great choice if the can change the top a little bit. The chiffon shoulder may hide ur big shoulder but I prefer it strapless or atleast less volume.

3rd is absolutely not my choice, but it may work in a party after :P coz its simple and easy to move. But if u wear it, still need to adjust a little to fit. I think the top is too big for u.

I love the first one’s shape and the second one’s fabric! The first one gives you a stunning hourglass figure, but I think the second one’s sheer and flowing fabric looks a lot more romantic (the first one looks a bit heavy with all the little ruffles and embellishments). Maybe you could combine those two? Oh, and I also love the black belt and the details on the second one! The third one looks wonderful on you too, but more sleek and elegant than romantic. You look more like a Greek goddess than a bride ;-)

Hi! First I’d like to congratulate you and thank you for sharing your experience with us. I like 1st bustline and waist and 3rd lover part – it reminds me of greek godess but I also like the “floral theme” of the 2nd dress and its uniqueness … so this is really a difficult choice. Good luck picking your dress and I’m sure you’ll look stunning in everything.

Even though dress 2 is quite pretty I think the black belt looks a bit like a cheap gift ribbon. The third dress fits you perfectly and is very chique but I miss some lace in all of these dresses. They’re not romantic enough :D

  48. Posted August 2, 2012 at 3:22 AM | Permalink

Definitely the top of the second dress and the bottom half of the third dress! Soo beautiful! I found this beautiful wedding dress not too long ago: http://pinterest.com/pin/180144053815668300/ – It sort of combines the second and third dress you have shown here, but it’s not perfect. I love how to sweetheart top of it is made. I would only make the sweetheart top a little less heart-shaped, spread out the sleeve part a bit more, and replace the beading with lace and something else! Thought I would share that with you haha! :)

The first dress hands down! The second dress is stunning in the back, but the bodice looks too large in the front under the arms. If it were fitted more to your body I may have chosen that one.

    Posted August 2, 2012 at 5:39 AM | Permalink

The first one! The third one’s romantic-classic, and the second one is more couture? I love the details of the first. It’s very flattering on a tall, slim figure like yours. And you pull it off very well. Definitely a dress to go down the aisle. The third could be more fitting as an evening gown you change into for the reception/dinner :)

  58. Casey
    Posted August 2, 2012 at 5:43 AM | Permalink

use a silhouette of the 3rd one, it flatters you the most, BUT in my opinion, to in cooperate the 3rd dress, take the sweetheart neckline and then have the cup sleeves, come together in the back in a V-shape and wrap around the skirt of your dress so it has a sorta cross over look, then take the details from the first dress and have them hide/peek out from under the tulle in the area where the tulle doesn’t cover the dress.

thanks for making this wedding series! I’ve been enjoying ever video! :) <3

The dress with the black ribbon waist makes you look frumpy and unsophisticated; more along the lines of a cheap prom dress. The first, with the gorgeously flowered (or graped?) upper torso and beautifully contrasting shirring (sorry, ignorant to all terms)at the waist looks contemporary, classy, and fun, certainly the hippest of all three. The last is very elegant, if not relatively simple, also looking very pretty on you. All in all, don’t even think about that trashy-looking dress with the black ribbon waist! (I can be rather opinionated ;) ) Good luck. I accidentally stumbled upon your site this morning, and now I’m having difficulty getting back to work because I’m so engaged with your incredible sense of style that is so unpretentious, classy, and accessible (prices notwithstanding!)

I LOVED the first dress, BUT in my opinion (and from what i heard you wanted in the previous episodes) I think it looks a bit too heavy. BUT I think it would look perfect if the bottom of the dress (from the waist/hips down) wouldn’t be the same detailing / fabric as the top part of the dress, i imagine it would look amazing if you’d replace the heavy bottom with light flowy layers of chiffon… anw that’s just my opinion. :)

I think the first one is much to busy for a garden wedding.
I LOVE the top of the second one, but again too voluminous in the bottom.
The third one is my absolute favorite. It’s like perfect for a chic garden wedding like yours. The little Problem is that it don’t brings out your body very much.
So I’d say a combination of the 2nd and the 3rd would look the best :)

    Hello Chriselle,

Since your having a garden/outdoor wedding I like the third dress. It has a 1930s garden party look.

I was also wondering if you could give me some advice… I’m getting married this December but I’m having a dress dilemma myself. I found my dream dress back in January. It was the only dress I tired on. I fell In love with it immediatly. So here’s the problem: a cousin of mine just got married this past June and his new wife was wearing the exact same dress. I know. Now I don’t know what to do. This whole ordeal has taken the excitement out of how I should be feeling about getting married.

If you have the time please advise. Thank you.

  85. Posted August 7, 2012 at 2:13 AM | Permalink

    Hi Christelle,

This must be an exciting time for you! I really love the silhouette of the first dress on you. You should use that silhouette but have it made in a silk chiffon material with some hand embroidery similar to the second dress. I am excited to see the final design of your gown!

I do want to thank you for uploading the videos :) . I am a (custom-made) gown designer myself, and your video is giving me encouragement knowing that there is a future in custom-made gown :) .

    Thanks!
