Oh So Complicated

Gifted HalleLu Sweater, Gifted H&M shorts, Celine Trapeze Purse, Louis Vuitton Shoes

…and we’re off for our engagement shoot session today with the ever so amazing Jana Williams today. Jana & Firefly events (who flew out from NY) are putting together a lovely little shoot for me & my fiance! We’ll also be filming it for our Wedding Series that will  launch on my channel very very soon :) My fiance is never in front of the camera, so it should be quite interesting today to see him in action. haha. I can’t wait to share all those  all those awkwardly cute moments with yall!

These amazingly cute Louis Vuitton shoes have quite an interesting story behind them. These beauties were purchased a couple years ago after a (slightly  devestating) photoshoot I styled when I first got into the styling business.  As a stylist you need to tape the bottoms of any  shoes worn by the model(s) so the soles are protected without getting ruined. I assumed (obviously I was a styling rookie at the time ) that the model was going to well behave and not scruff the bottom of the shoes…but low & behold she in fact scruffed them….HARD! I ended up having to buy these pair of shoes out of my own pocket..and i am just NOW  getting over my hard feelings for them. you see…me & my LV’s have a bitter/sweet  & oh so complicated relationship :P .

There was definitely a lesson learned (the hard way). So all you stylists out there  tape up the bottom of those shoes..no matter if you are shooting indoors or outdoors! TRUST!

Have a lovely day everyone!

xoxo

Despite the bittersweet memory that’s associated with these shoes, I’m so glad that you had to purchase them though! They’re gorgeous (and luckily you wear the same size as the model!) I always tape the bottom of the soles with masking tape to protect them, but even that sometimes doesn’t help. Some models are just really careless.

I love the combination of leahter and metal. Natural materials togehter feel so luxurious in that close to nature way.

A blog post with a tip for those who read the entry. Thanks for the tips because I would never have known. Then again, I am not planning to be a stylist or anything so I’m not sure I will put it to use. It’s just nice to know though.

Hiya, love your blog! Follow it randomly throughout the week — just wanted to say I love the combo of the gold ring and the gold nail polish on your fingers. Meaningful, stylish and edgy. Will be copying in near future :D
