60 Days & Counting- Let Them Eat Cake & Macarons!

Although the quote above is true it’s missing 1 thing, so here’s my version… ” If there were only TWO happinesses in  life it would be To Love And Be Loved And TO EAT SWEETS!”

yes, that’s coming from a girl who suffers from a major sweet tooth. A MAJOR part of my wedding will be indulging in sweets, cupcaking, & of course cake eating. Here are a couple of the inspired pieces I want to serve at the wedding &  this cute little trinket below……

{Photography by Brooke Allison // Cake by Erica Obrien Cake Design}

{Totally obsessed with the chevron detail  & delicate pastel florals}

{Ruffles served on vintage china}

LET THEM EAT CAKE and….

{Macarons}

If youguys follow me on Instagram & Twitter by now you know my {unhealthy} obsession with these delicate little things. On Sundays my fiance treats me to a box of Macarons..it’s our little Sunday Ritual. So when I found these I giggled with joy, died a little inside, & went to heaven….

{Macaron Trinkets}

Found this on The Style Squad.  Perfect to store my engagement ring & stud earrings!

Theres a piece of me that feels slightly empty & sad once I finish my box of macarons every Sunday…which creates my anticipation for my next box the following sunday! But to have a box of macaron near & dear to me always & forever to store my most precious jewels??

But there’s only one problem….

Unfortunately these boxes are sold out everywhere :(

I thought it would be cute favors for our guests! Let me know if you guys find a place to buy these anywhere! But if these babies are no where to be found…that leads me to the question of…what Favors should I gift to my lovely guests?

Let me know if you guys have any thoughts & idea!

It’s officially 60 Days & Counting….

xoxo

    OMG ok, I know you won’t show your wedding dress before the wedding day (what if your fiancé sees it? No, right?) but I’m dying to see it! Enjoy all the little details and planning, it’s going to be something you remember for life! x

    Awww, Chriselle! I’m so happy for you ^__^ you make wedding planning sound so…elegant and fun hahaha, not the stress case that most say it is (although I’m sure its stressful at times). The macaroon trinkets really are adorable! What if you put something in the trinkets for the girls and something for the guys? :o

    Chriselle, it depends on the kind of wedding, but little tiny white boxes with a sweet treat tied with a bow inside is always very pretty. And, it’s very versatile, you can decide on the ribbon around the box, the little seal, all kinds of options. I don’t know where you’d find them, though.

    I think having a small white box, sealed with one of those old time wax seals, with a few items inside that are special to you, for example one macaron trinket, then maybe a note expressing your appreciation for them coming or something?

    I’m dying to see pics of your wedding! I’m totally obcessed about weddings, and yours looks just like the perfect one! About the trinket, some people on youtube deliver clay charms and mirrors in all shapes. Maybe if you did a request they could make a trinket. Hope you find it!

    Such gorgeous inspirations for your wedding sweets! That trinket box is too cute!
    I think it’s a perfect solution for when traveling. I never wear my rings to bed
    but always feel weird leaving them on the night-stand. I’ll have to stalk some for myself!
    I’ve have color-coordinated macaroons as the favors themselves and those were great!

    Those little macs would also make lovely gifts for briday/baby showers…thanks for the tip Chris…you’re a saviour when it comes to all things wedding!

    Hi Chriselle, my wedding is in 17 days so as I am counting backwards the feeling of the butterflies in my stomach gets bigger and bigger :)
    For our guests we did an off white/pearl color box with a rose attached and black ribbon.
    Inside I have included some sweets (comfits if the word is correct as it’s a tradition in our country) with strawberry and champagne flavor.hope they will like it.
    Wish you all the best for your wedding and hope you will find the best favors of your taste.
    Best regards

    So you love sweet things (just like me!) and you still have a beatiful figure!
    How do you do that, not being fat at all? Tell me!
    Not that I’m fat, but you know, at some places it is a bit too much in my opinion, haha ; )
    I hope you’ll have a great wedding day! I think you’ll look gorgeous!

    Hey Chriselle, I am obsessed with macarons just like you are. Whenever I visit Belgium, I try to stop by this place called Pierre Ledent and get a box of macarons for my beloved ones. I dont think they ship to the US, but just to give you an inspiration if you ever happen to be around. Their store looks like a jewelry store and I always feel so special being able to pick every single macarons to be placed into the jewelry boxes :) And the macarons are so a-h-mazing, they also offer some unique flavors like wasabi or balsamico haha :-) Definitely check them out: http://www.pierreledent.be/pages/les_ecrins.html

    Have fun planning your big day! Cant wait for all the upcoming updates from you!
