A Brand New….

I will never take LA weather for granted ever again! After weeks of being bundled up in layers ( a minimum of 4 layers in Asia not to freeze your buns off!) you can only imagine how badly i’ve been wanting to wear my minis and sheer blouses once again! Although I got pretty darn good at the whole “layering” concept.  As you guys know i’m a huge believer in mixing and matching different textures to  create an eye-catching & awe-mazing outfit. When I get dressed in the mornings I always take the most unexpected combinations to see if they will somehow work together (trust me…sometimes they dont!)…it’s all about taking fashion risks & experimenting with what you already have! So one of my New Year’s STYLE resolution this year is ” To take risks, experiment, & recreate new looks.”! So here I mixed and matched my tweed mini + chiffon polkaa dot blouse + Lace trench- a combination i’ve never tried before!

So this new years I challenge you to have your own Style Resolution…..whether it’s to try a new color combination, to go shopping more , to go shopping less ( le sigh….*raises hand*), to try a new silhouette, or just simply to try something new and go out of your comfort zone!  A Brand new year, a brand new you , a brand new style!

Love,

Chriselle

I love LA weather as well! Wish I could be there instead of PA!!! It is so cold here! I love your lace trench and I also am excited to see more of my favorite bloggers re-creating looks with what they already have in their closets as that is what I do and I find it is very inspiring, as opposed to always seeing something new.

I love the idea of having style resolutions…it’s not something I’ve ever done before, but I’m thinking of all sorts of them in my head right now. I probably should add the “go shopping less” resolution to the top of my list. Do I haaaaavvveee to? =)

As usual, a lovely outfit. Thanks for the tip and inspiring others to be risky! I was in LA recently, and YES, the weather is soooo beautiful and comfortable there (really didn’t feel like December)! I’m back in my rainy hometown now, but I’m totally daydreaming about LA’s weather! :)

I do the exact same thing when getting dressed – pick out my favorite item for the day and literally walk down my closet with it to see what will work. I love a challenge! Beautiful combination as always xoxo

I love your mixing of textures, this one DEFINITELY worked. You look gorgeous!
I guess my style resolution would have to be to go out of my comfort zone and also, to incorporate more skirts into my wardrobe!
