3 Is Better Than 1

I’m all for pieces that you can mix & match from day into night  and casual into glam! Although some of you may think that my closet is filled with endless amount of choices & pieces….it’s not! The truth is…i’ve just become a master at rotating & remixing pieces! So here’s my rule- it’s NOT ok to wear the same outfit 3 times in one week, but it’s A-okay to rotate that same skirt 3 times in one week in 3 different ways.

THE OFFICE LOOK

{Gifted Skirt from Banana Republic, Sweater- DIY pearl project (see the tutorial here), Blouse- Elizabeth & James, Clutch- Zara, Shoes, Penelope & Coco, Bracelets- Vintage}

DATE NIGHT LOOK

{Gifted Banana Republic Skirt, Blouse -H&M, Sweater- Nanda, Belt- Zara, Jewelry- Vintage, Shoes- Jimmy Choo}

CITY CHIC

{Gifted Skirt – Banana Republic, Sweater- H&M, Jacket- Helmut Lang, Purse- Jimmy Choo, Bracelets- Vintage, Shoes- Penelope & Coco}

And my longstanding love affair with sequins continues. This Banana Republic sequins skirt is perfect to dash from the office to a romantic  candlelight dinner to a lovely afternoon shopping date with the girls!

3 is better than 1, don’t you agree?  Which one is your favorite look??

    Thanks Chriselle for being such an amazing source of inspiration! Even though I don’t always do, your blog has inspired me to “dress up” more for just everyday occasions like school.

    Do you have any tips on how to dress if you are top heavy? I find it hard to find good pieces that flatter my body type…

    I’m going to have to try this technique. I like all the ways that you paired the skirt, but my fave was the city chic because I love the edginess.

  • Bravo! I coudn’t agree more! I find myself wearing the same pieces two or three times a week as well… but NEVER in the same ensemble. This is the secret of a closet full of basics… mix & match… mix & match.

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the office look, and I think it’s amazing that you are actually showing us how to rock the re-done T/sweater that you did in your trash to treasures video.

    I love green inspiration like that! Greenspiration, if you will!
