On The Go
Excuse the horrible quality ..just happened to forget my camera and these are some images from my phone!
It’s been one of those crazy days where I have to run from meetings to meetings then straight to a dinner party. Most of my outfits are transitional from day into night due to my demanding schedule. Perfectly pretty in sheer chiffon for the day paired up with some ankle booties then dramatically switching it up and replacing the booties into 5 in. YSL stilettos for the night. Oh and may I add a bold red lip color for the evening.
Never am I complete without my ankle booties during the day and for the evening rarely will you ever see me dashing around without my red lips & 5 inch stilettos.
Are you always On The Go? What are your must haves for the day and for the night?
(Dress- Leyendecker, Slip- American Apparel, Boots- Ash Jalouse, Vintage Bali Purse from mom, jewelry- RoseGold & BoutiqueLA)
Love,
Chriselle

You always look so good…i love your FRIDAY OUTFIT!!!
Hi Letty~ Thank you! I love dressing up on Fridays …sets the tone to a very fashionable weekend 🙂 Have a lovely weekend xoxo
Lovely outfit Chriselle! I love your juxtaposition of a light dress and rugged accessories and boots. 🙂 After reading your article about No Certificate necessary, I decided to talk to my mom about the idea of becoming a stylist. While I absolutely love the fashion world, have my own blog, study vogue, teen vogue, elle, and Bazaar every month, and style my friends and family constantly, she wasn’t too supportive of my idea. I am a very good student and also very involved with music at my school, and I understand that she wants me to earn a degree and have a formal education outside of college. What I am wondering is what are practical ways I can make myself competitive as a stylist’s assistant or intern? Did you take journalism classes or work at retail stores? Did you go to a fashion or design school? While I know my mom wants to support me, she sees fashion and styling as a risk and a back-up plan instead of a career. And if you have any advice on how to turn your passion into a career and help your parents to see that you ARE reaching your highest potential, I would be eternally grateful. Wish me luck, Erika
Hi Erika~ I live for a good juxtaposition!
Like any good parent they are just worried for you and since it’s not exactly a “mainstream” profession quite yet they most likely just dont understand it yet. What they will soon realize is that fashion is as big of an industry with many job opportunities as any other profession! I recommend to continue studying and finishing school & look into fashion programs at your school. Many state colleges as well as UC’s now offer fashion school (even though they are not a fashion school). Start taking classes and join fashion clubs and become very involved! You will meet teachers, mentors, & peers that can help you with your journey!! Stick to your passion and fight for what you love..it will be worth it in the end!
Love,
Chriselle
Since I have to wear a lovely chef uniform to work, it’s not really something I can transform to go out and be social in afterwards… Thus, I always have to have my purse, and probably a change of clothes stashed in my car!
In my purse I carry my small makeup essentials (powder, black eyeliner, lipstick, brush), and other essentials to feel good about spending a night on the town. All I need to get rid of flat, hat hair is a sprinkle of water and a window down in the car, I’m lucky that way.
I love the idea of being able to dress cute for work, then being able to transform that outfit into something more dressy on a later date, but I picked the wrong career, haha!
what a fun job you have as a chef!
I joke around sometimes by saying I drive around a moving closet because I have tons of shoes, clothes, and make up in my car as well! It’s always better to be prepared than not!
sounds like you are a woman on the go…love it!!

Chriselle
Love the overall airiness of your look! Does rosegold or boutiqueLA have a website we can check out?
I will find out if they do…they are a small boutique by my place in LA! 🙂
