DAY 1: No joke…New Yorkers are not to take Fashion week lightly. Upon arrival we headed straight to a restaurant called “Cafeteria” ..and suprisingly enough they have a little separate menu for fashionistas like us for a “Fashion Week 2011 Menu”. Unfortunately everything on the menu was under 250 calories, sooo ummm yes you bet that we surely stayed away from that menu and indulged ourselves into some darn good comfort food! Our first day we roamed around town, ordered room service, and stuffed our bellies with some sweets & gelato ice cream! And what a lovely way to end a day..Vivienne Tam sent us some goodies from her new collection!
Day 2: What girl doesn’t love to get pampered? Michelle and I are the ones who generally are styling or doing the make up for the models but roles were reversed today! We were the models and the Lancome Artists were doing our makeup for us! ( alas! I can really get use to this!) We also had a mini photoshoot with our 5 different make up looks. Spent the whole day with the Lancome national artists, the models and the face of Lancome, the Lancome PR team…pretty much at the end of the day I felt like I was a part of the Lancome family. It was great to mingle and get to know the editors of Vogue magazine, Harpers, WWD, Jane magazine, and Style. It’s also very exciting to know that Michelle and I have such a strong support team of major magazines, editors, & bloggers!
Lancome then took us out for another fancy dinner then ended the evening watching The American Reject Broadway show (Any Greenday fans??). I am so gracious & humbled for all the amazing opportunities that have come our way..and all the amazing supporters I have met thus far.
Also another thing I have learned to master in this FUHHH-REEEZING cold weather..is the art of layering. By the end of my NY trip…i might just have to make a tutorial on “How To Layer” or “How to look Chic in the Freezing cold weather!”
