That Catchy Tune

posted by on 2010.07.30, under Chriselle Inc.

So I blogged about styling for The Maine a couple weeks back but I forgot to share this AMAZING video with yall “Inside of You”.

We wanted to give the boys more of a grown up look ..lets say “tailored and suited” so we dressed them down from head to toe in J. Lindberg `and Dior Homme !

All the amazing props and character styling were done by us and our girls at Chriselle INC. They did an amazing job, especially with the last crazy crazy scene!

I love love love this song..not just saying that cuss we styled it but gotta admit its got that catchy tune that you cant get out of your head! Enjoy~

and yes that mask that John is wearing is one of our handmade spiked mask, how awesome is this? We also used that mask for our Vampd Magazine editorials but with a differen design ! Check out VAMPD MAGAZINE and cannot wait for our editorial that will be coming out in the Vampd Anniversary issue. 10.10.10

Grocery Shopping can be Serendipitous…Sometimes

posted by on 2010.07.28, under Chriselle Inc.

To be quite honest grocery shopping is probably my least favorite and least priortized things to do on my list (Thank God for my sister and bf who has an avid passion for cooking..), but today i found myself quite excited and pleased to be at Ralphs in downtown Los Angeles. Why? well I overheard a girl next to me talking to her girlfriend , “Inspirations of an Asian Bride? What makes an Asian bride different than anyone else?” Immediately I took glance at what magazne they were referring to and of course it was the one and only Serendipity Magazine. and YES Serendipity Magazine is the first asian bridal magazine targeted to the asian bride. Although I didnt anwser the girls question of “What makes an Asian bride different than anyone else?” Well I think the most obvious anwser to that is TRADITION.

Anyways I was so happy to see the cover editorial of the spring/summer issue of Serendipity magazine that I styled and produced with my amazing team.

We will be working with Serendipity next month again to shoot for their Fall/Winter issue. So I guess Grocery Shopping Can be Serendipitous….sometimes.

Fall Obsession

posted by on 2010.07.27, under Chriselle Inc.

I find the best outfits are the ones that look effortlessly chic and casual. Not only am i obssessed with Alexa Chung and her style but  also obsessed with Animal print accents. Pair up a silk blouse with a pair of Levis cutoffs with a animal accented purse and you are good to go. I have a current obsession with animal print accessories..especially with animal print shoes and purses!

Not About The Wardrobe But About The Hair!

posted by on 2010.07.26, under Chriselle Inc.

Recently I had the chance to style a hair campaign for a compay called L’anza haircare. This was actually my 3rd time working for them but my1st time working as a stylist for them. The past 2 times I’ve worked with L’anza I was one of their models for their hair campaign as well as their runway show. This time around I had the pleasure to style their campaign and be a part of the moel casting process. We casted 3 beautiful models from Photogenics modeling agency who were shot by the talented photographer Hama Sanders.

When styling for a hair campaign it is very important that the focus is on the hair. It is very easy to take the focus away from the hair with bad styling. Styling should be very simple with no accessories, clothing should blend in with the lighting and mood instead of “popping” because it is the hair that should pop. Its not about the wardrobe but about the hair! Keep that in mind not all jobs is about making bold wardrobe statements.

L’anza is such an amazing company to work for and their haircare products are absolutely amazing! Last time they gave me a bag of goodies, and I’ve been living off of their products with my shiny stylish bob cut! We will be working with them again in November for our next campaign shoot!
