So I blogged about styling for The Maine a couple weeks back but I forgot to share this AMAZING video with yall “Inside of You”.

We wanted to give the boys more of a grown up look ..lets say “tailored and suited” so we dressed them down from head to toe in J. Lindberg `and Dior Homme !

All the amazing props and character styling were done by us and our girls at Chriselle INC. They did an amazing job, especially with the last crazy crazy scene!

I love love love this song..not just saying that cuss we styled it but gotta admit its got that catchy tune that you cant get out of your head! Enjoy~

and yes that mask that John is wearing is one of our handmade spiked mask, how awesome is this? We also used that mask for our Vampd Magazine editorials but with a differen design ! Check out VAMPD MAGAZINE and cannot wait for our editorial that will be coming out in the Vampd Anniversary issue. 10.10.10

Grocery Shopping can be Serendipitous…Sometimes

posted by on 2010.07.28, under Chriselle Inc.

To be quite honest grocery shopping is probably my least favorite and least priortized things to do on my list (Thank God for my sister and bf who has an avid passion for cooking..), but today i found myself quite excited and pleased to be at Ralphs in downtown Los Angeles. Why? well I overheard a girl next to me talking to her girlfriend , “Inspirations of an Asian Bride? What makes an Asian bride different than anyone else?” Immediately I took glance at what magazne they were referring to and of course it was the one and only Serendipity Magazine. and YES Serendipity Magazine is the first asian bridal magazine targeted to the asian bride. Although I didnt anwser the girls question of “What makes an Asian bride different than anyone else?” Well I think the most obvious anwser to that is TRADITION.

Anyways I was so happy to see the cover editorial of the spring/summer issue of Serendipity magazine that I styled and produced with my amazing team.

We will be working with Serendipity next month again to shoot for their Fall/Winter issue. So I guess Grocery Shopping Can be Serendipitous….sometimes.

Fall Obsession

I find the best outfits are the ones that look effortlessly chic and casual. Not only am i obssessed with Alexa Chung and her style but  also obsessed with Animal print accents. Pair up a silk blouse with a pair of Levis cutoffs with a animal accented purse and you are good to go. I have a current obsession with animal print accessories..especially with animal print shoes and purses!

Not About The Wardrobe But About The Hair!

Recently I had the chance to style a hair campaign for a compay called L’anza haircare. This was actually my 3rd time working for them but my1st time working as a stylist for them. The past 2 times I’ve worked with L’anza I was one of their models for their hair campaign as well as their runway show. This time around I had the pleasure to style their campaign and be a part of the moel casting process. We casted 3 beautiful models from Photogenics modeling agency who were shot by the talented photographer Hama Sanders.

When styling for a hair campaign it is very important that the focus is on the hair. It is very easy to take the focus away from the hair with bad styling. Styling should be very simple with no accessories, clothing should blend in with the lighting and mood instead of “popping” because it is the hair that should pop. Its not about the wardrobe but about the hair! Keep that in mind not all jobs is about making bold wardrobe statements.

L’anza is such an amazing company to work for and their haircare products are absolutely amazing! Last time they gave me a bag of goodies, and I’ve been living off of their products with my shiny stylish bob cut! We will be working with them again in November for our next campaign shoot!

Preview of The Make Me Over event

posted by on 2010.07.22, under Chriselle Inc.

I still cannot believe that the Make Me Over weekend has come to an end and I must say it was a beautiful ending. Initially the Make Me Over team was supose to make over 3 ever so deserving winning ladies from head to toe but it seems as if we as a team were too completely transformed and touchd by the process of the Make Over.

On July 16th the 3 winners Alexandra Becker, Sara Waren, and Smanatha Llanos arrived fabulously to the city of Angels…Los Angeles! They checked into the O hotel, the first indepdent boutique hotel in downtown Los Angeles, then they were picked up to start their Makeover day 1 adventure in Beverly Hills. The ladies arrived at the amazing Angus M Salon in Beverly hills and got pampered by the most talented hair stylist that I know..Sienree (Ree). Ree dedicated her whole day with the girls giving each girl a unique color, cut, and style to compliment their new look .

Here is Ree with the winning ladies at the Angus M salon after a long long day…this is just the beginning of their makeover adventures!

The winners arrived bright and early in the morning to a little suprise to the TONE IT UP girls. These gals are the fitness gurus and know how to TONE you up while having tons of fun. We started off the day with a mini bootcamp with their new gifts of Under Armour clothing and Asics sneakers! I am a firm believer in looking beautiful is feeling beautiful and healthy, so who better to go to than the TONE IT UP girls with their fun recipes and fitness programs!

Then the girls individually all recieved a facial to relax them and to give them  that extra glow! After the girls were glowing from miles away they finally had the chane to meet Michelle Phan. Michelle presented each of them a Lancome Pink Box that was filled with hundreds of dollars worth of Lancome goodies! The girls rotated from getting their make up done by Michelle Phan, their hair styled by Ree , and get styled by me!

We all had such an amazing time getting to know each girl…they all individually had their own right to be so deserving of this make over. Each one of them already had a heart of gold and was beautiful in their own way but simply needed a booster upper to help them to shine and walk with confidence.

I cannot tell you how amazing these girls looked after their Make over, but the best part was seeing their own reaction to their new look. It’s not always about how amazing your hair or make up is done or how fabulously styled your outfit is but sometimes it takes that extreme to make you realize that you really are that beautiful.  We witnessed with these 3 girls that beauty on the outside transforms your inner confidence…all of a sudden they started walking taller, smiling with confidence, laughing a little louder an even speaking with an opinion! That’s why our motto for the Make Me Over contest is “Beauty from the outside in, shining from inside out”

Here are a couple of shots taken by the amazing Don Le with Thirteen Minutes Magazine

This is just a preview and we cannot wait to show you the images of the FINAL look of these girls….they are absolutely stunning! So stick around to see how Alexandra, Samantha, and Sara trnsform into beauty queens…and we also have our MAKE ME OVER VIDEO coming out very soon…it’s gonna be sickkkkkkk! enough said!

This weekend wouldnt have been possible without our Glam Squad. Michelle Phan working her magical Lancome brushes and blushes on these girls, Ree for putting her love and sweat into these fabulous locks of theirs.. she spent the most hours on these girls so THANK YOU! Karla Ticas for co producing this event with me and capturing every beautiful moment from this weekend. David Gallardo, a ridiculously talented videographer, for also capturing every tear and laughter from this weekend with my partna Budo Dave who has been my cheerleader and motivator for the past 3 years! Christine Bae and Patty C. for being such great friends and handling the PR. The best damn assistants Chrstina Ghadanian and Patricia Flores from Chriselle INC who has had one too many sleepless nights to make our vision come to life! And of course this event woulnt have been possibe without our gracious sponsors…. Tone It Up for motivating our girls to be healthy is beautiful and for providing UnderArmor and Asics! Veggie Grill for a delicus veggie lunch!! Lancome for providng mke up and the beautiful pink boxes, Forever 21 for providing unlimited amont of wardrobe, KirstenKuehn Designs for one of a kind vintage head pieces, Yu-be for providing the best skin care for dry skin, Slip n Toss for biodegradable disposable flip flops, BB Couture for the hottest nail colors, Jazzy Cakes for the AMAZINGLY tasty and cute cupcakes, The Studio LA for providing us their beautiful space (one of the most beautiful studios in Los angeles), O hotel for providing our girls with 5 star treatment during their stay, Paul Mitchell and  Angus  M Salon for providing us with the best hair care products as well as an amazing full day at the salon!

Tight, fitted, and Suited… THE MAINE squeeze

posted by on 2010.07.01, under Chriselle Inc.

It’s been one crazy June and I know I know I’ve been HORRIBLE at updating my blog, but great news is that I have soooo many exciting updates to share with you all.

This past month I took on 2 new interns that have been devoutly helping the Chriselle INC. family grow! We’ve been working on magazine editorials, cover shoots, music videos, celebrities, and commercials!

One of our most recent projects we worked on was styling the band The Maine, signed to the Warner Brothers record label. Not only did we style the boys but we also styled and created all the crazy characters in this video. With my dedicated and talented interns they put together AMAZING looks together for these out of the world characters..and you will know what I mean by CRAZY after the video gets released.

The question was :  “What would rockstars wear to a funeral”

The answer was: Dior Homme and J Lindberg suits..

Tight, Fitted, and Suited in Dior and J Lindberg suits.  THE MAINE squeeze

Dressed in Dior Homme & J Lindberg suit with Ben Sherman kicks.

Producer Justin Cronkite “High Fiving” it..we did it!Behind the scenes of “Insde of You”

My assistants Christina and Patty hard at work, makin sure John is lookin fresh!

Racks and Racks and Racks of clothing..the story of my life

Second scene!

Lovin John’s last outfit. cuss he’s rockin my hand made spiked mask.

Last scene with Jared and Garrett…looking ummm quite silly? Here Garrett’s tie is “blowing away” with a piece of heavy wire underneath to create that effect.

We absolutely cannot wait for this music video to be released and to share it with you all! For now make sure you check out The Maine and their catchy new song “Inside Of You”
